Certifications

Canon Virginia holds a variety of certifications. These achievements demonstrate our commitment to exceed the strict international standards set forth by these agencies. These Certifications go a long way towards showing a company’s commitment – to community, it itself, to its products, members & customers.

ISO 9001:2015

The standard specifies requirements for all products quality management system where an organization need to demonstrate its ability to consistently provide products that meets customer and applicable statutory and regulatory requirements. Canon Virginia has been certified since June of 1993. ISO 9001:2015 Scope Statement (located at 12000 Canon Boulevard, Newport News, VA 23606-4299) Design and development of new products, Manufacture of toner cartridges and toner, Manufacture of plastic injection molds and Injection molded parts, Assembly, test and distribution of finished products, Product returns, refurbishing and distribution, Collection, segregation, processing, data destruction, dismantling, and remarketing of electronics. Excludes manufacture, assembly, test, and distribution of medical products and excludes manufacture, assembly, test, and distribution of food products.

ISO 13485:2016

The standard specifies requirements for medical products quality management system where an organization needs to demonstrate its ability to consistently provide products that meet customer and applicable statutory and regulatory requirements. Canon Virginia has been certified since February of 2017. ISO 13485:2016 Scope Statement (located at 11990 Canon Boulevard, Newport News, VA 23606 -Contract manufacturer and testing of electronic-based medical device components.

ISO 14001:2015

The standard specifies the requirements for an environmental management system that an organization can use to enhance its environmental performance. The intended outcomes of an environmental management system include: enhancement of environmental performance, fulfillment of compliance obligations and achievement of environmental objectives. Canon Virginia has been certified since September of 1996.
